At Newstar Metal, we make the safety of our people a top priority as it takes a healthy workforce to bring about efficient delivery of any company's services. Considering the delicate nature of our work area, safety precautions are being implemented continually and are strictly adhered to.
ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT
Newstar metal Int'l has put in place Particulate Abatement Plant (PAP) and mobile chimney to curb the release of gaseous and particulate emission into the atmosphere.
New Star also engaged in weekly environmental sanitation within and outside the facility and domestic wastes is contracted by waste management agency. All other wastes generated from the production are recycled for further production.
In compliance, and as required by Environmental Protection Agencies, a two (2) yearly Environmental Audit Report (EAR) is prepared and submitted to the agencies to establish compliance to environmental standard regulatory limits.
HEALTH AND SAFETY
New Star Metal International provides Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for all its factory workers and worn by all operatives on the production floor. There is also provision of firefighting equipment (Fire extinguishers) which are installed at designated and easily accessible location within the facility.
We engaged in retainer-ship for all our staff and organise routine medical checkup. We also have industrial First Aid Kits within our facility to manage emergency cases. New Star Metal has in place standard HSE policy for safety and health related issues. In-house training are organised regularly for all the staff on health and safety related issues.
